Austurban is a property development enterprise specialising in beginning to end delivery of built form developments and land subdivision projects.
With over 30 years combined property experience, the directors of Austurban have been exposed to a full range of projects, from small lot residential infill subdivision to large regional shopping centre development. In recent years, Austurban has focused on small to medium residential built form and land subdivision projects.
Given the nature of property development, there are two distinct timeframes that the Company works in.
- The current, which involves the day to day project management, sales and investor liaison; and
- The future, where trend analysis, demographic shifts and economic forecasts are all taken into account when choosing the next project’s location, type and size.
Austurban has significant expertise in project management, including medium and high density residential, commercial and retail development.

Starting his Real Estate career in 1990 for a leading Perth Commercial Agency, George was head hunted by large privately owned development company in 1995. In this time George developed his property development skills from sourcing and analysing projects, dealing with statutory authorities, project management and reporting systems. In 2000, George relocated to Sydney where he worked as a project manager for American Express undertaking projects throughout Asia and New Zealand. This opportunity allowed George to further refine is project management skills which included relocating call centers, change management strategies, training, recruitment and other HR issues.
With over 15 years of property experience, his valuation background and applying advanced project management skills, George has effectively and efficiently undertaken multiple medium to high density residential developments, residential land subdivisions, commercial built form developments including medical, office and retail, industrial land subdivisions and refurbishments. Having consulted to several property developers in Sydney and conducted a number of feasibilities studies in Qld and NSW, George has been exposed to markets outside of WA.
Kris McGillivray

Director - Business Development
Kris’ involvement in property development began in 1992 and since then he has completed many property projects and consulted to others in the areas of acquisitions, feasibility, project management and marketing. He has held senior positions in business development including for an international property development company (who has offices in London, Hong Kong and Perth). Kris has been a Director and Project Manager, for a number of private property development companies, which has contributed to his well developed negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Kris’ diverse range of experience extends beyond property. Kris is Director of ASEAN Corporate Services Pty Ltd which provides corporate business services to listed and unlisted public companies. Those services include Company Secretarial roles, strategic planning, accounting, capital raising and administration services. He has had considerable experience in the public company arena having held the position of Chief Financial Officer for listed public companies as well as through the day to day services provided by ASEAN. Kris brings to the Company extensive skills in strategic planning, acquisition and feasibility analysis, equity raising, finance and investor relations management.
